Liquor & Marijuana Licensing

Liquor Licenses

All persons wishing to sell, or offer to sell, to dispense or offer to dispense, any malt, vinous or spirituous liquors, as such liquors are defined by laws of the State, must have a license issued by the State of Colorado.

To apply for a liquor license, complete the following:

State application - visit the Colorado Department of Revenue website
Fingerprints - This must be done by scheduling with IdentoGO.

Marijuana Licenses

All persons wishing to operate a business that sells, manufactures, or produces retail or medical marijuana must be licensed by the City of Trinidad as well as the State of Colorado.

To apply for a local retail or medical marijuana license, or to apply for a change of ownership, you must complete and submit the following forms with the applicable fees:

Retail and Medical Marijuana License Application

As part of your application, you must submit the following:
- a copy of your MED Business License Application to the Colorado Department of Revenue - visit the website
- a copy of your Conditional Use Permit issued by the City of Trinidad Planning Department
Individual History Record
Fingerprints - This must be done by scheduling with IdentoGO.

To apply for a change of location, you must complete the Retail and Medical Marijuana License Application and submit it with the applicable fees.
